How far will you go for Mediterranean sunshine? Obviously we’re not instigating or condoning criminal behaviour to secure a fantastic cheap or all inclusive holiday to the Med. No we’re just asking what’s your ideal flight time. Again not what time would you like us to arrange for your private jet to take off, but how much time do you like to spend flying high in the sky?

Just two hours please

If you can only bear to be skyward for the shortest amount of time possible, then choose Spain as your next holiday destination. This could be because you and planes don’t mix or because you’re too excited about your holiday to waste time travelling. Either way opting for a Spanish destination including the beautiful Balearic Islands will ensure a swift journey and maximum time spent holidaying rather than flying.

You’ll find great all inclusive and cheap holidays to Majorca, the Costas, Benidorm, Minorca, Ibiza and Formentera.

Three to four hours will do

What’s another one to two hours up in the clouds when you can be chauffeur-flown to exotic but still Mediterranean locations? Once you’ve enjoyed lunch or dinner you can watch the glorious coastlines come into view during your descent.

Keep it cheap and cheerful with Turkey, Greece and the wonderful Canary Islands of Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, La Palma, La Gomera and El Hierro.

Four or a little more is just the ticket

Especially if you like to read the in-flight magazine from cover to cover and enjoy a bite to eat. And of course there needs to be plenty of time for your own personal shopper (the flight attendant) to take you through the many perfumes, aftershaves and watches on offer.

Well one does like to smell and look one’s best when making an entrance in Cyprus or Tunisia. It should also help you to pass through customs and passport control more efficiently and then it’s holiday mode all the way.

Five is the max

If the plane ride is all part of the holiday experience for you then you won’t mind spending five hours amongst the clouds, especially if Egypt is at the other end. After all it’s the perfect time to make some headway into your holiday reading and catch up on your sleep. Maybe even plan your sightseeing itinerary or your first scuba dive location.

Have a good flight now!
